NYAMYOTSI – STAGE 1 MINI HYDRO POWER PROJECT

Nyamyotsi hydro power project is located in the Rugera sector on Nyadihu district in the Western province of Rwanda. Previously this province was called the Ruhengeri province. The project was identified by the team of UNIDO and local experts in year 2004 and it was developed by UNIDIO which is the funding agency. The project development was tendered as “Construction and Commissioning of an Off-grid Village Mini Hydro’s in Rwanda on a Turnkey Basis” and ENCO (Private) Limited ( Sri Lanka) was able to win the contract and started the construction in January, 2006.
